-This whole poem would make more sense in Mayan, but I prefer understanding to rhyming-
I am around you,
You are the bright burning one,
The lady Great Sun,
You are so bright, you see right through me,
As though I were a pool of shallow water.
If you are the Sun, the Day, and Light,
Then I am most surely the Night Sun, the Darkness, and Pain
I am the Night Sun, shining only on those who are afraid;
I die in dawn, burned away.
I am only half of a wholeness.
In this way so am I tortured,
Forced to wander the World
Forever incomplete,
Forever the Night Sun
in a World of Day.
