Pale Flames

Twisted and contorted
the beautiful thing
Walking on clouds,
I want to breathe your breath
as shades dance
The black dance of death.

I take your hand,
mine as chill as ice
I inhale your happiness
and my fears melt
as flowers dance
the youthful dance of spring

So I can no longer see,
it takes no effort to see you
But you must leave me
or the earth will die
as shades dance as I do;
the grey dance of Hades.
